Where is Samadi located?

We’re located in Canggu, which is a large coastal area that stretches about eight kilometers north of Seminyak. Our address is Jalan Padang Linjong 39, Echo Beach, Canggu, Bali.

How can I get from the airport to Samadi?

What is the closest beach and how far is it?

Echo Beach and Old Man are the main beach attractions and a famous surf spot in the Canggu area. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes by foot, 2 km to Echo Beach from Samadi. If you’re just looking for a place to swim or want to learn surfing, walk to the next beach, Old Man’s area where the waves are far more calmer

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

We have yoga mats you can borrow without any extra charge. And we also sell high-quality yoga mats in our Samadi Shop

Do you offer private yoga class?

Yes we do, you can book your own private teacher, classes can be scheduled either in Samadi or at your Villa. Our yoga teachers have various specialties and together combine over plenty of practice and experience. They all have followed extensive studies in India and around. What about your Residency/Homes?

Yes we do, you can book your own private teacher, classes can be scheduled either in Samadi or at your Villa. Samadi Residency offers 9 beautiful designer bedrooms: 4 rooms with king size beds and facing to the rice field and 4 rooms with single beds which are convertible to king size beds with also beautiful and calming garden view, and 1 extra room that accessible from Pool and SPA. Samadi is a beautiful space, artistically and stylishly laid out. The surroundings are quiet, quaint and comfortable, designed for luxury living enclosed in a lush green environment and a stunning view to the rice fields. All the rooms have air-conditioning, WIFI, private bathroom, superior quality beds and daily housekeeping. Samadi Bali is located in the quiet and peaceful area of Canggu, a few minutes drive from Echo beach and Batu Bolong beaches, which host a variety of local and western restaurants and stylish boutiques to boot. Extra bed for children upon request. Check-in is at 2 pm and check-out at 11 am. These times can be flexible on request. We have WIFI in the café as well as in the rooms.

How about security at night time?

Our night security is on watch from 21:00 – 07:00 and provides safety for our guests during the night time. Please do not hesitate to call if there is a problem or you may need assistance. He stays above the kitchen. Your safety is our priority.

What do I need to know about basic living in Bali?

Drinking Water At Samadi we offer free drinking water from our water filters. We highly encourage you to have your own drinking bottle to use and not buy plastic bottles. You can download the RefillMyBottle mobile app, to find out which other locations in Bali offers this service. DO NOT DINRK WATER FROM TAP OR SHOWER.. Mosquitos Yes we have mosquitos in Bali, and yes they bite, some have reported dengue, mainly during rainy season, (it depends on the year) hence we strongly recommend you to use mosquito spray in the evening time especially around dusk. Money There are plenty of ATMs in Canggu, but best is to use the ATMs inside the supermarkets, or inside a bank, there has been reports on ATM scams where they skim your card. You can also use the money exchange places,they are all over Canggu, Be warned! If you see a sign with a higher rate then anywhere else, be aware. A good tell tell is when the desk they stand behind is rather high, and you cannot see if one or two notes happened to “fall” behind the desk. Make sure you are the last one to count the money before you leave the place.

How long it takes from the airport to Samadi?

It depends on the traffic but on average it takes an hour.

What is the best way to get around?

You can walk around in Canggu area all is relatively nearby, beachfront is 2 km walk from Samadi. It is possible to rent a bicycle or a scooter, which is the easiest way to get around. Always put your bag inside the scooter to keep your valuable belongings safe. If you rent a scooter make sure you have an International one. How about other beaches in the area?

To escape the crowds head to Pererenan beach. A quick walk over the rocks from Echo Beach drops you onto a nice quiet beach, stretching for kilometers on no end – perfect walk for sunset. Pantai Brawa is a nice beach and the area offers a large variety of cafes and restaurants. It can also be a great surf spot given the right conditions. Batu Bolong is the main street of Canggu leading to the beach, where you find hip venues like Deus, Monsieur Spoon bakery and Old Man’s, the vibrant bar on the beach. Pantai Berawa is a black sand beach that landscapes the largest lagoon along the Canggu coastline. Here you can find nice cafes and restaurants and great surf gave the right conditions. Batu Bolong is the high street of Canggu where you find loads of healthy cafes and restaurants, shops, hip venues, and the happening bar where the road meets the ocean, Old Mans. This beach is a favorite for long borders and is a great place to learn how to surf. Echo Beach is the main beach attraction in the Canggu area. There are many little beach shacks where you can order a coconut and some food, chill on a bean bag and watch surfers on this world-class wave spot. Though it often gets very windy here, this spot is busy with surfers from all around the world. If you’re looking to swim or just want to learn how to surf, walk south to the Old Man’s area where the surf is far calmer. Pererenan Beach is another place to escape the crowds. Pererenan is a quick walk over the rocks leading you to a nice quiet beach, stretching for kilometers with no end – a perfect walk for sunset and a place to interact with the local community. Seseh Beach is further west and is much more secluded offering horse riding tours for a sunset beach ride. This beach offers a similar vibe to Pererenan Beach with black sand and a chance to hang with the locals.

What type of yoga styles do you have and how many classes per day?

How is the 4 & 8 day retreat schedule?

Our retreats are individual and tailored to each guest’s needs and preferences so there is no group setting or fixed starting dates or schedule. Together we’ll make a plan for your stay. You’ll have free time to go to the beach and explore the area.

Is there a safety box to leave my valuable belongings?

There is a safety box in the room where you can store your valuables.

What do you offer at Samadi Eateries?

Our food in Samadi Cafe Restaurant and Warung Indo are all vegetarian and much of it is gluten-free and mostly local and organic. We have vegan and raw dishes on the menu. Please inform our staff if you have any special dietary needs such as certain diet or allergies and we are happy to cater for you. Grillstop serves seafood and we also have Velato, our Vegan Gelato.

What kind of Visa do I need? Can I work with that visa?

The best thing to do is to check with the Indonesian embassy about what kind of visa you will need for your travels. Here are some EXAMPLES! No Visa is required. Free stay of 30 days. Free entry cannot be extended. (45 countries on the list) Visa on Arrival (VoA) for 35 USD$ for 30 days stay. It is payable at the airport. Can be extended for another 30 days. (30 countries on the list) Longer Visa is needed. Apply before arriving in Indonesia. To have longer visas as an option please contact the Indonesian embassy in your country.
